War metal trio Gorgon Vomit play Bannerman's Bar with support from Unmaking and A.V.L.
Gorgon Vomit play Bannerman's Bar on Thursday 29 October, one of their few Scottish dates in a busy 2026. They're a London war metal outfit known for cut-throat blastbeats, knuckle-dragging swagger and a shattering low end that draws on Jamaican culture and an inner-city London perspective. It's a heavy, abrasive sound that doesn't hold back.
They've recently trimmed down to a trio for their three-track EP, Kill Pagans, and the shift moved them towards a streamlined, maximum-damage approach. 'Nuke Norway' and the title track both invoke a Year Zero for the metal scene, and the record was self-produced by frontman Cam Shuck (Black Mane) at their North London rehearsal space. It keeps the same unfiltered, feral energy as their older material, and those tracks have sat alongside staples like 'Skeng Down Jah' and 'Babylon Detonator' throughout their international schedule this year.
They're not the only ones on the bill. Glasgow's underground death metal act Unmaking take the second slot, and the night opens with Edinburgh's own A.V.L, who slam guitar-free sludge and power violence with elements of noise and electronics. It's a line-up that stays firmly in the heavier, louder end of things from start to finish.
