A smash-hit, tartan-clad musical celebrating the music, memories and passionate fandom of the Bay City Rollers.
Rollers Forever runs at King's Theatre from Tuesday 27 to Saturday 31 October, a tartan-clad musical celebrating the music and fandom of the Bay City Rollers. It's a short run in the city centre, with evening performances at 7.30pm and matinees at 2.30pm.
The story follows two lifelong friends who reconnect on a Saturday night and are pulled back into the excitement, laughter and teenage obsession that shaped their Roller-mania. The band's iconic soundtrack is carried to the stage through a story shaped by the fans themselves, with the cast delivering the hits live. It's written by award-winning playwright Danny McCahon and directed by theatre-maker Liz Carruthers, and they've put friendship at the core of the show alongside the celebration of a particular kind of British pop mania.
On stage, the cast includes Bailey Easton, Chiara Sparkes, Fiona Wood, Liam Harkins, Rachel Campbell, Gregor John-Owen, Andy Clark, Clare Nolan and Tyler Collins. The run also includes access performances: audio description, touch tours and British Sign Language on Saturday 31 October, and captioning on Thursday 29 October.
