Roger Waters directs a tribute to Pink Floyd's golden era, with his son Harry Waters leading a ten-piece band through the music of The Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals and The Wall.
Roger Waters presents Legacy comes to the Edinburgh Playhouse on Saturday 19 June 2027, with the music of Pink Floyd performed by The Harry Waters Band. It's a new live production that looks back at the band's golden era, from 1971 to 1979, and it's built around the records that defined that period: The Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals and The Wall.
The show is fronted by Harry Waters, who leads a ten-piece band on B3 organ, piano and vocals. He's a longtime touring musician, pianist and composer who spent more than fifteen years performing alongside his father, and this whole production runs under Roger Waters's direction. The band's aim is to recreate the original recordings as closely as possible, so if you're coming for the sound of those specific albums, that's exactly where they're aiming.
There's a visual side to it as well. A pictorial retrospective of imagery inspired by Pink Floyd's work runs throughout the show, including visuals Waters created during his time as the band's creative force, all shown on high-definition LED video screens. Between the ten-piece band and the screens, it's a full-stage production rather than a stripped-back set.
