All-female rock band Rock Femmes Fatales pay tribute to female rock icons with a two-hour live show of rock classics.
Rock Femmes Fatales play The Voodoo Rooms on Saturday 5 June 2027, a two-hour live show paying tribute to female rock artists from across the decades. It's a band of female vocalists and musicians, and the set is built around rock classics from a long list of names. They're drawing on artists like Stevie Nicks, Blondie, Cher, Alanis Morissette, Joan Jett, Patti Smith, The Pretenders, Heart, Pat Benatar, Belinda Carlisle, Garbage, KT Tunstall, Meredith Brooks, Nightwish, Evanescence and Skunk Anansie. That's a fair spread of eras and styles to cover in one night, and they're pulling from it all.
The band describes their approach as recreating the enchantment of those artists with soaring melodies, blazing guitar riffs and pounding rhythms. They've got decades of live and recording experience behind them, working in clubs, theatres and festivals, and they're bringing that to the stage here. The whole thing is a celebration of female rock artists through the ages, so you'll hear the older icons alongside the more recent ones, all played live by the band.
It's a two-hour show, so there's plenty of room for the set to breathe rather than just rushing through a handful of hits. With that many names on the list, the set should pull from a wide range of rock and roll, from the grit of Joan Jett and the punch of The Pretenders to the heavier side of things like Nightwish and Evanescence, and the more melodic lines of Stevie Nicks and Heart. It's a good way to hear a lot of different voices and sounds in one go.
