Robin Grainger returns to Edinburgh with 'Lemonade', a stand-up show he describes as being about happiness.
Robin Grainger is back at Monkey Barrel Comedy on Saturday 12 December, bringing Lemonade to the Old Town. It's a solo show he describes as being about happiness, and it's his return to Edinburgh after a run of awards recognition over the last couple of years.
Grainger has been picking up some serious nods from the comedy circuit. In 2025, Lemonade was nominated for Best Show (ISH) at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards, and he also came up for the Sir Billy Connolly Spirit of Glasgow Award that same year. He stayed on the longlist for the Spirit of Glasgow in 2026, so this date sits in the wake of a show that's been getting a fair bit of attention.
The reviews have been warm, too. The Real Chrisparkle called it "a masterclass in comedy", and The List described it as "full of heart, delivered by one of the most likeable comics on the circuit". Between those two, you get a sense of what the show does: it's a tight piece of stand-up that doesn't lose its human side.

It's a single-act night, so it's just Grainger on stage for the full hour. The show runs at 18:00 at Monkey Barrel Comedy, 9-12 Blair Street in the Old Town, and tickets are £11.
