Late-night Rinse FM night with club DJ Yung Singh spinning UK garage, jungle, funk and hip-hop at Sneaky Pete's on Cowgate.
Yung Singh plays Sneaky Pete's on Friday 30 October, running under the Rinse FM banner. It's a single-DJ night, and Singh is the only name on the bill.
If you haven't come across him, he's a club DJ whose sets pull from across the dance music spectrum: UK garage, funky, and jungle alongside hip-hop and rap, all blended with his Punjabi roots. He was named DJ Mag's Breakthrough DJ of the Year in 2021 and has since become one of the most sought-after club DJs on the international festival circuit, with sets at Fabric, Panorama Bar, Glastonbury, Sónar and Horst.
Sneaky Pete's is well-suited for a night like this. The room is built around a d&b audiotechnik PA, with Q10 tops and C7 subwoofers, and the booth pairs the analogue warmth of a Condesa Carmen rotary mixer with the digital versatility of CDJ-2000NXS2 players. The dance floor works as a single stage, so the focus stays on the booth. The venue itself opened in 2008 on Cowgate, when Nick Stewart turned a former shot bar into a club built around that specific setup.
