Nightvision x Pleasure: Halloween Special

Nightvision x Pleasure are taking over a Secret Location in Edinburgh on Saturday 31 October, their Halloween special. It's part of Alternate Realities, a new series of immersive club nights, and they're billing it as the city's biggest Halloween house party, with over 2,000 people expected. The whole thing is built around a theme they call DYSTOPIA, which plays out across two rooms with production, installations and live performers.

The first room is The Happiness Facility, a world of chrome, colour and euphoric house music. The second, The Slaughterhouse, is where the system's less fortunate citizens are sent for 'recycling', complete with smiling robot butchers and a twisted industrial setting. Ten DJs, described as the last of the human resistance, infiltrate the facility, and as the night goes on the screens glitch and the party turns into an uprising. The music runs across house, disco and disco house.

On the line-up are Mella Dee, Theo Kottis, Hayley Zalassi and Hammer. If you're thinking about what to wear, the organisers are suggesting glamorous androids, corrupted AI dolls, rogue scientists or chrome-covered cyborgs, so it's a good one to actually dress up for.

It runs from 18:00 to 03:00 at a Secret Location in Edinburgh, EH1 2NG, with full details to be released closer to the date. Tickets are £20 to £30 via Skiddle.
