Muse tribute act Plug In Maybe recreates the band's early sound and energy with synced lighting and visuals at La Belle Angèle.
Plug In Maybe are playing La Belle Angèle on Friday 18 December, a Muse tribute act that's spent its time on the UK circuit touring mid-size venues across the country. They've built their following there, and this is one of their Edinburgh dates.
The set leans on Muse's early catalogue, drawing fan favourites from Showbiz, Origin of Symmetry and Absolution. It's those first three records that form the core of the night, rather than the later, more stadium-filling material. The band describes the show as an attempt to recreate Muse's sound, energy and intensity, so it's the heavier, more guitar-driven side of the early years that takes centre stage.
It's staged as a full production, with synced lighting, visuals and stage design intended to turn an intimate room into a high-impact live experience. The lighting and visuals run alongside the music, so it's more of a put-together show than a simple pub gig.
