G4 bring their musical theatre tour 'Phantoms of the Popera' to The Assembly Rooms, with a pre-show Meet & Greet.
G4 are back at The Assembly Rooms on Sunday 26 September 2027 with Phantoms of the Popera, a set built around the showstoppers of musical theatre. The quartet — Jonathan Ansell, Mike Christie, Duncan Sandilands and Michael Conway — are the UK's No1 vocal harmony quartet and original X Factor stars, with more than three million albums sold worldwide. This is a tour they've been on for a while: Phantoms of the Popera sold out across 2025 and 2026, and they've extended the run into 2027.
The set pulls from the big names of the stage: Les Misérables, The Phantom of the Opera, South Pacific, Hamilton, Wicked, The Greatest Showman, Jesus Christ Superstar and more. It's a broad sweep of musical theatre, so you'll hear the classic West End and Broadway numbers alongside some of the newer hits. If you're into the big, melodic songs that these shows are known for, that's exactly what they're leaning into here.

The Edinburgh date comes with a pre-show Meet & Greet with the band at 18:00, and every guest gets an exclusive merchandise item. The venue is The Assembly Rooms at 54 George Street in Edinburgh New Town, one of the city centre's largest multi-purpose event spaces. It's got enormous crystal chandeliers, gleaming gold leaf and giant gilt mirrors, and it's been at the heart of the capital for more than two centuries, hosting monarchy and celebrity royalty alike. The space went through a major redevelopment completed in 2012, so the old rooms now sit alongside the latest technology. The Meet & Greet starts at 18:00, with the show to follow.
