Artist-led paint and sip session with step-by-step instruction to paint a Bob Ross-style sunset, with all materials provided.
Paintvine are bringing their paint and sip sessions to The Alchemist George Street on Saturday 7 November, with this particular one themed around a Bob Ross sunset. It runs from 12 pm to 2 pm, so it's a midday thing rather than a late one.
If you've never done one of these, the format is straightforward: you spend about two hours painting a Bob Ross-style sunset under the guidance of an artist. They lead you through it step-by-step, so you're not just left to figure it out on your own. It's designed for complete beginners as much as for people who already paint, and you don't need any prior experience to get stuck in. Paintvine run these across the UK, with over 80,000 guests having attended their events in more than 20 cities.
One of the best bits is that they handle all the kit. Your ticket covers everything you need for the session: acrylic paints, brushes, an apron to keep things tidy, and a stretched canvas to work on. They also take photos throughout, so you'll have a record of the process, and you get to take your finished painting home with you. They take care of the full setup and clean-up too, so you just turn up and paint.
