One-day cookery class on international cuisine at the Edinburgh Food & Drink Academy on Queen Street.
Edinburgh Food & Drink Academy is running an international cuisine cookery class on Saturday 31 October, from 9:45am to 3:30pm, with the school open from 9:30am. It's a full day in the kitchen, so you'll want to arrive a bit early to get settled before things kick off.
The academy itself is based in a historic Queen Street townhouse, and it relaunched earlier this year. Since then, it's been running interactive cooking experiences and exclusive dining events for all ages. The programme covers a lot of ground: hands-on family baking workshops, week-long holiday camps for young chefs, evening masterclasses, and intimate Chef's Table events with local favourites, alongside professional cookery courses and venue hire for private functions.
It's a place that takes its training seriously. The school's reputation for high-level instruction in a supportive environment is backed by its alumni, including Michelin-starred chef Sam Yorke, owner of Heron, and private chef and caterer Emily Crisp, who credits the academy with giving her the skills, knowledge and confidence to make a living from what she'd always loved. Whether you're just starting out or looking to sharpen your technique, that's the kind of background you're stepping into.
