Freestyle rap comedian MC Hammersmith brings his improvised hip-hop comedy show 'Ice Ice Nepo Baby' to the Monkey Barrel Comedy Club.
MC Hammersmith is back at Monkey Barrel Comedy on Thursday 20 May 2027, with his latest show Ice Ice Nepo Baby. It's a freestyle rap comedy hour, and it's part of a spring/summer tour across the UK and Ireland that also runs at the Edinburgh Fringe.
If you're not familiar with the name, MC Hammersmith is the stage name of Will Naameh, a multi-award-winning freestyle rap comedian and stand-up who bills himself as the world's leading gangsta rapper to emerge from middle-class white west London. He's also known as the tall, posh, skinny member of the improvised comedy troupes The Spontaneous Players and Men With Coconuts, so the whole thing sits right in that gap between stand-up and improv.
Ice Ice Nepo Baby takes a specific premise and runs with it: when he turned 18, his parents, MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice, revealed that he was adopted. The show follows his pursuit of his biological family through improvised hip-hop comedy, and the hour is built on audience suggestions, so it'll be different every night. The rap is made up on the spot, and the story evolves from whatever the crowd throws his way.

It's a full hour, and since it's improvised, you're seeing it being written as it happens. The Edinburgh date is part of his wider 2027 tour, so it's one of the stops he'll be making across the UK and Ireland. The show starts at 7:30pm at Monkey Barrel Comedy, and tickets are £24.75, which includes the booking fee.
