Martin Kemp, Spandau Ballet legend, returns to Brewhemia for a night of 80s anthems in a party show with singalongs and 80s-themed entertainment.
Martin Kemp is back at Brewhemia on Friday 23 October, returning to the venue with Back to the 80s. He's known as a Spandau Ballet legend, and that's the era this night is built around. It's a party show rather than a traditional gig: Kemp takes the decks and spins the biggest hits of the decade, with Duran Duran, Madonna, George Michael and Chaka Khan on the playlist. He's also given one specific guarantee: Gold will absolutely be played.
Brewhemia, the Beer Palace on Market Street, is transformed for the night into an 80s playground of big tunes, bold looks and singalongs. Bench dancing is part of the plan, and neon and 80s attire are highly encouraged, so it's a night where digging out your old gear is half the point. If you're not one for the costume side of things, you can still just show up and sing along.
It's a party format, so there's a bit more to it than just the music. Pre-show dining and drinks packages can be booked separately, which means you can make a full evening of it rather than just popping in for the show. The night starts at 7pm at Brewhemia, 1a Market Street, EH1 1DE, in the heart of Edinburgh.
