Weekly Friday evening of Christian meditation with a short reading, about 25 minutes of silent meditation and tea and biscuits, hosted by the Edinburgh Christian Meditation Group.
The Edinburgh Christian Meditation Group meet this Friday 30 October at 63 York Place, upstairs in St Margaret's room. It's a weekly thing, so if you can't make this one, they'll be back again the following Friday.
Newcomers are welcome, and they teach the meditation on the night, so you don't need to have done it before. The session follows the tradition of the World Community for Christian Meditation (WCCM). It starts with some relaxing music and a short inspiring reading, followed by about 25 minutes of silent meditation. After that, everyone is invited to share tea and biscuits and get to know one another, and the evening usually runs on until around 9:00 PM.
It's a small group—typically five to ten people—and most of them don't use Meetup, so it's a fairly low-key, face-to-face gathering rather than a big organised event. If you're looking for a quiet way to wind down the week with a bit of silence and a cuppa afterwards, this is a good shout.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Edinburgh and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

The session runs from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM, and a £3 donation is asked to cover the snacks, drinks and room rental.
