Layton Williams takes to the stage for his nationwide tour marking the 20th anniversary of his stage debut, a whistle-stop musical tour of his career.
Layton Williams brings his tour to the King's Theatre on Sunday 7 March 2027, with the show starting at 7:30pm. It's a one-off Edinburgh date in a nationwide run, and the whole thing is built around a specific anniversary: it's been twenty years since he first stepped onto a professional stage.
If you're not familiar with the name, Williams is an Olivier Award winner and Tony Award nominee who works as an actor, singer, dancer and musical theatre performer. He made his debut at twelve, playing the title role in Billy Elliot the Musical in London's West End, and Layton Live is a whistle-stop tour of his career from that point onwards. The set traces the journey from Billy Elliot to Titanique, with Cabaret, Hairspray, Everybody's Talking About Jamie, the Bad Education classroom and the Strictly ballroom floor in between. It's a look back at the roles and stages he's worked on over two decades, and he's supported on stage by a company of artists.
