Kyle Falconer, former lead singer of The View, plays his solo tour of 'Lovely Night of Terror' in an intimate setting at Cabaret Voltaire.
Kyle Falconer plays Cabaret Voltaire on Thursday 29 October, part of the solo tour for his latest album. He's supported by Mark Sharp & The Bicycle Thieves, so there's a full night of music on the bill.
Falconer first made his name in 2007 as the lead singer of the indie rock band The View, who took a number one UK debut album with Hats Off to the Buskers. Since then he's moved in a few different directions: he co-wrote the musical No Love Songs and set up his own songwriting retreats in Spain. As a solo artist he's built a following of his own, and his fourth solo studio album, Lovely Night of Terror, came out in March 2026, featuring collaborations with indie peers Peter Doherty and Jamie Webster.
This Edinburgh date is part of the tour for that record, which Falconer has billed as his last solo outing for a while. The set trades the band's wall of sound for a stripped-back arrangement of guitars, trumpets, harmonicas and harmonies, mixing new material from Lovely Night of Terror with his older songs. It's a folk-pop approach that puts the songwriting at the front, rather than the volume.
