American country artist Jessica Lynn brings an intimate unplugged evening of music, memories and stories to The Voodoo Rooms.
Jessica Lynn brings her More Than Music Unplugged show to The Voodoo Rooms on Sunday 18 April 2027. It's an unplugged evening of music, memories and stories, so it's less of a standard gig and more of a night where the songs sit alongside the stories behind them.
Lynn is an American country artist who's spent the last few years carving out her own space in modern country. The press has called her a 'rocket force', and that's a fair summary of how she's worked her way up: she's played to millions on the road and fronted two full-length nationwide concert television specials, Jessica Lynn - This Much Fun and Jessica Lynn - Takin' Over. In four years of international touring, she's shared stages with some of the biggest names in country and rock, including Brad Paisley, Keith Urban, Montgomery Gentry, Hank Jr., The Allman Betts Band, Phil Vassar, Jo Dee Messina, ZZ Top and the 'Queen of Country' Loretta Lynn. Critics have pointed to her high-energy, dynamic live performances as her calling card.
This particular show strips that back. Instead of the full band and the big stage, it's an unplugged set, which means the songs take centre stage without the usual noise around them. The 'memories and stories' part of the evening is just as much a part of the bill as the music itself, so you'll get the context behind the songs as well as the songs themselves. It's a more stripped-back, conversational way of doing a show, and it's a different side to an artist who's built her reputation on high-energy live sets.
