British comedian and BBC star Jacob Hawley brings his stand-up show 'Fighting Age Man' to Monkey Barrel Comedy in Edinburgh.
Jacob Hawley brings his new show Fighting Age Man to Monkey Barrel Comedy on Friday 6 November, starting at 8pm. It's a full hour of stand-up, and the Edinburgh date is part of the show's wider UK and Ireland tour.
If you haven't come across him yet, Hawley is a British comedian and BBC star who also hosts the Screen Rot Podcast. He describes Fighting Age Man as a bold new hour of blistering stand-up, questionable opinions and stories he says most people would need waterboarding to admit to. It's the kind of set that doesn't shy away from the awkward or the slightly out-of-bounds, so it should sit well in a room like Monkey Barrel.
He's a familiar face and voice across a fair few platforms, too. He's been a guest on The Have A Word podcast and several others, and has appeared on Talksport, Sky, ITV, the BBC and OnlyFans. That mix of radio, TV and the more chaotic corners of the internet gives you a decent sense of where he's coming from: he's comfortable playing with the line between the polished and the unvarnished.
