Hands-on immersive day led by the School of Shamanism covering shamanic origins, journeying, soul healing, power dance and drumming.
The School of Shamanism is running an introduction day at the Art and Spirituality Centre on Saturday 21 November, with a second date on Sunday 6 December. Both sessions run for four hours, and they're designed as hands-on immersive experiences rather than just a talk you sit through. If you've ever been curious about shamanism but didn't know where to start, this is a good place to get your feet wet.
The day covers the basics: shamanic origins, journeying, soul healing and power dance. You'll be doing these things, not just hearing about them, so it's a practical introduction. There's also a focus on shamanic drumming, and the organisers talk about the benefits they associate with it: reducing stress, improving concentration, encouraging self-acceptance, and supporting cardiovascular and immune health.

It's run by the School of Shamanism, so the whole thing is led by people who teach this as a practice. The two dates are Saturday 21 November at 2:00 PM and Sunday 6 December at 1:00 PM, both four hours long. General admission is £55, and the venue is the Art and Spirituality Centre at 6-8 Alexander Drive in Edinburgh.
