Harriet Kemsley brings her new hour, Floozy, to Monkey Barrel Comedy on Thursday 12 November. It's a full hour of stand-up, and it's part of her current tour, so it's a proper night out rather than a short spot.
If you've seen her recently, you might recognise her from Last One Laughing UK, and that's the energy she's bringing here. The set is built around dating, mushrooms, and her own attempt to be a bit of a floozy, all delivered with the joyfully unpredictable energy that's become her thing. It's a new hour, so you're seeing the material as it's being taken on the road.
Kemsley has a fair bit of TV behind her: she's appeared on Live at the Apollo, Would I Lie to You?, and 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, and she co-hosts the Single Ladies In Your Area podcast. The reviews for this show have been strong, too. The Scotsman called her "extraordinarily talented", The Guardian noted that she "packs in high calibre jokes", The Skinny described it as a "masterful hour", and EdFest Mag called it "effervescent".
