Opening evening champagne reception of the Greyfriars Edinburgh Art Fair, with contemporary painting, sculpture, photography, illustration and mixed-media work.
Greyfriars Edinburgh Art Fair 2026 opens at Greyfriars Kirk on Friday 23 October, with a champagne reception from 18:00 to 21:00 for those with an invitation or ticket. The fair runs across two days, bringing together established and emerging artists from around the world. You'll find contemporary painting, sculpture, photography, illustration and mixed-media work on display.
The venue is Greyfriars Kirk, the historic church in the heart of Edinburgh's Old Town. It dates back to the early 17th century and sits near the Grassmarket and the National Museum of Scotland, just outside Greyfriars Kirkyard. It's a proper Old Town spot, so it's easy enough to find if you're already around the area.
One of the fair's main draws is the Henry Raeburn Prize, named after the celebrated Scottish portrait painter. It's a prestigious award that runs alongside the rest of the fair, and the ceremony takes place on Saturday afternoon. If you're planning to see the prize-winning work, Saturday is the day for it.
