GirlyPop Live is bringing its Xmas Era to the Edinburgh Corn Exchange on Sunday 20 December, a festive pop party with Christmas magic and pop star tributes for all the family. It's a daytime one, so it works as a family outing rather than a late night.
The whole thing is built around tribute acts, and the line-up covers a fair bit of ground. You'll get sets dedicated to Zara Larsson, Sabrina Carpenter, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Olivia Rodrigo and Harry Styles. That's six different pop stars in one go, and the range goes from the current chart-toppers to the bigger names who've been around a while, so there's plenty to recognise regardless of who you usually listen to.
Because it's billed as a family event, it's one of those afternoons you can bring the kids along to. The Christmas theme runs through it, too, so it's as much about the festive side of things as it is about the music. It's a Sunday afternoon slot, with doors opening at 12:00 and a curfew of 16:30, so you're in and out well before dinner. The venue is the Edinburgh Corn Exchange in the city centre, and the whole thing runs from midday through to mid-afternoon.
