Boston blues trio GA-20 play traditional electric blues at Cabaret Voltaire, with special guests, on their autumn UK tour.
GA-20 are playing Cabaret Voltaire on Wednesday 21 October, part of their autumn UK tour. The Boston-based trio bring traditional electric blues to the city, and they'll be joined by special guests on the night.
Since 2018, GA-20 have worked at the intersection of traditional blues, country and rock 'n' roll. The three-piece consists of guitarist Matt Stubbs, guitarist and vocalist Cody Nilsen and drummer Josh Kiggans. They play vintage instruments and amps and record live off the floor together in one room, and they name Otis Rush, J.B. Lenoir, Howlin' Wolf, Junior Wells, Hound Dog Taylor and Earl Hooker as influences. In their short history they've landed three number ones on the Billboard Blues chart, four Boston Music Awards for Best Blues Act and multiple wins and nominations at the Blues Music Awards, Blues Blast Awards and New England Blues Awards.
