Sound bath meditation session guided by Marcela Tršová, combining shamanic drumming and crystal bowls to mark the full moon.
Marcela Tršová is holding a full moon sound bath at The Open Door Community Centre on Sunday 25 October, from 20:30 for an hour and a half. It's a session built around the full moon, which she treats as the most potent day of the lunar cycle — a time of heightened psychic ability and emotional sensitivity, meant for reviewing new-moon intentions and letting go of what no longer serves. The whole thing draws on 'lunar living', the idea of viewing life as cyclical rather than linear and tracking your energy against the moon's phases.
Tršová describes herself as an artist, storyteller, holistic healer and creative community practitioner who guides people towards a deeper connection with themselves through creative therapeutic processes and holistic healing practices. The sound bath she puts together combines shamanic drumming, quartz crystal bowls, Tibetan and steel singing bowls, tongue drums, tuning forks, rainsticks and Koshi chimes. She uses them to settle the mind and encourage an altered state of consciousness, with effects she lists as released anxiety, fear and worry, and improved sleep, happiness and immune energy.
There are a few things to keep in mind before you book: the session isn't suitable for pregnant women, people with pacemakers, people suffering epileptic seizures or those with acute ear pain. If any of that applies, it's best to sit this one out.
