Samhain-themed sound bath meditation with shamanic drumming and crystal bowls guided by Marcela Tršová.
Marcela Tršová is hosting a Samhain sound bath at The Open Door Community Centre on Sunday 1 November, from 7pm to 8.30pm. It's a ninety-minute session built around Samhain, the cross-quarter festival running from 31 October to 1 November that marks the end of autumn and the onset of winter. In the tradition, it's a time of rest and regeneration, and one of those moments when the veil between the seen world of matter and the unseen world of spirits is said to grow thin.
Tršová, an artist, holistic healer, storyteller and creative community practitioner, opens the evening with a story connected to that time of year. From there, she guides the room into an altered state of consciousness using a wide range of sound: shamanic drumming, quartz crystal bowls, Tibetan and steel singing bowls, a steel tongue drum, rainstick, tuning forks and Koshi chimes. The experience closes with sharing or writing down personal reflections.
