Free Family-Friendly Film Screenings At WHALE Arts

WHALE Arts is screening Inside Out 2 on Friday 30 October, from 2:30pm to 4:30pm. It's a free family-friendly screening, and the film is part of their Friday afternoon cinema run.

If you're planning to make a proper afternoon of it, there's a bit more to the day than just the movie. The screening is part of the Local Cinema Network, which pairs the film with a weekly community meal from 1pm to 2pm, an hour before the show starts. It's a good way to get the kids fed and settled before the lights go down.

It helps to know a bit about where you're heading. WHALE Arts is a community-led arts charity and social enterprise, set up by local people back in 1992. Over the years it's grown into a cultural anchor for Wester Hailes, operating out of a purpose-built centre known as 'The WHALE'. Inside, you'll find a range of creative spaces: an arts workshop, a performance space, a darkroom and digital media facilities. There are also social enterprises running alongside, like the WHALE Pod creative business incubator and regular craft fairs, so it's a working arts hub rather than just a cinema.

The screening runs from 2:30pm to 4:30pm at WHALE Arts Agency, 30 Westburn Grove, Edinburgh West EH14 2SA. Entry is free, and there's no booking needed — just turn up on the day. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
