Fisherman's Friends, the Cornish shanty band from Port Isaac, bring their 36-date tour of harmonies and sea songs to The Queen's Hall.
Fisherman's Friends play The Queen's Hall on Saturday 3 April 2027, part of a 36-date tour presented by SJM Concerts. They're the Cornish shanty singers you've probably heard of, and this is their Edinburgh stop.
Their story is a bit of a long one. For thirty years they've been meeting on the Platt on the harbour in their native Port Isaac to sing the songs of the sea. More than a decade ago they signed a record deal and their album Port Isaac's Fisherman's Friends went Gold, which made them the first traditional folk act to land a UK top ten album. Since then, the story has inspired two feature films — including the feel-good Fisherman's Friends released in 2019 — and a touring stage musical. This tour brings the humour, camaraderie and maritime harmonies that have made them one of Britain's best-loved live acts.
It's a long run of dates, so they'll be well-rehearsed by the time they reach the city. The show is for over-14s only, and under-16s need to be accompanied by an adult.
