Workshop led by Nikki's Fleurs to make a festive wreath from fresh greenery, pinecones, dried fruit and ribbon, with mulled wine and a seasonal grazing table.
Nikki's Fleurs is running a festive wreath making workshop at the Leonardo Edinburgh Murrayfield Hotel on 187 Clermiston Road, with three separate sessions to choose from: Sunday 22nd and Sunday 29th November from 2pm to 5pm, and Tuesday 1st December from 6pm to 9pm.
The florist Nikki's Fleurs leads the whole thing, guiding you through making your own wreath from fresh greenery, pinecones, dried fruit and ribbon. It's a proper hands-on session, so you'll be working with the materials yourself rather than just watching a demo. By the end, you'll have a finished wreath to take home and hang up for the season.
There's a fair bit more to it than just the crafting, too. When you arrive, you're served a glass of spiced mulled wine or non-alcoholic spiced apple juice, and there's a seasonal grazing table to pick at throughout. That includes mini sandwiches, sausage rolls, cheese and crackers, mince pies and gingerbread, so it's as much about the afternoon or evening as it is about the wreath. If you're going with a friend, it's a decent way to spend a few hours together before the December rush really kicks in.
