Guided watercolour session by Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh staff for adults, painting festive florals and winter greenery with all materials provided.
Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh is hosting a Festive Paint & Sip on Thursday 26 November, a guided watercolour session that runs from 18:30 to 21:00. It's an evening focused on festive florals and winter greenery, and the whole thing is taught by the Garden's own staff, so you're learning from the people who actually work there.
That's the key bit: it's aimed squarely at adults with no prior experience. You don't need to have picked up a brush before to fit in, and you don't need to bring your own kit either. They provide all the materials you'll need for the session, and there's a seasonal drink included to keep you going while you work. It's a cosy, guided setup, so you're not just left to your own devices—you'll be working through the florals and greenery with the staff on hand to show you the way.
Spaces are limited to 20, so it stays a small group rather than a crowded room, and you'll need to be 16 or over to take part. The session runs for two and a half hours, which is plenty of time to get a painting finished without feeling rushed.
