Fantasy Bookclub Scotland presents: Threshing Day

Fantasy Bookclub Scotland is hosting a celebration of Threshing Day at the Grassmarket Community Project on Sunday 8 November, from 2pm to 4pm. It's a dedicated afternoon for Rebecca Yarros's new story collection, which sits within the high-stakes world of the Empyrean and brings together thirteen stories about riders and the dragons who chose them.

If you've been following the Fourth Wing romantasy series, this is aimed squarely at you. The organisers recommend finishing Onyx Storm before you come along, as the afternoon is packed with spoilers. The programme takes in all thirteen stories from the collection, so there's plenty to pick apart over the two hours.

Beyond the stories themselves, there's a 'Best Bond Showdown' where you can debate your favourite pairings, an 'Ultimate Empyrean Quiz', and a session devoted to Book Four theories. It's a good spot to get your theories out in the open and hear what others are thinking about where the series goes next.

It runs from 2pm to 4pm at the Grassmarket Community Project, 86 Candlemaker Row, Edinburgh Old Town EH1 2QA, and tickets are £21.10.
