Seven weeks of sexy, funny and dangerous Christmas cabaret, the festive edition of the Spiegeltent show La Clique, at the Palais du Variété in Bristo Square.
La Clique Noël opens at Bristo Square on 20 November, running through to 3 January as part of Edinburgh's Christmas. It's the festive edition of La Clique, the cabaret show that started at the Edinburgh Fringe back in 2004, went on to win an Olivier Award, and toured to cities like London, Paris, New York and Sydney. The format mixes cabaret, circus and sideshow burlesque, and this year it takes over the Palais du Variété's new home in Bristo Square — the first time a Spiegeltent has resided there. Unique Assembly presents the run, which they describe as seven weeks of 'Sexy, Funny and Dangerous Christmas Kabaret'.
The line-up for this run brings together three distinct acts. Heather Holliday is a sword swallower and firebreather, David Pereira works as a 'shaving cream' acrobat and aerialist, and Mario Queen of the Circus rounds out the bill. Between them, they cover the sword-swallowing, the fire, the acrobatics and the aerial work that make up the show's circus and cabaret blend.
