Annual series of candlelit chamber music concerts featuring works by Beethoven, Schubert, Brahms and Haydn at St Giles' Cathedral.
The Edinburgh Royal Mile Chamber Music Series returns to St Giles' Cathedral on Monday 23 November, from 18:30 to 19:30. It's a candlelit concert in the heart of the Royal Mile, part of a wider cycle of chamber music performances held throughout the cathedral.
The series focuses on the Classical and Romantic eras, with works by Beethoven, Schubert, Brahms and Haydn. The music is performed by a mix of celebrated UK and international artists, and the cathedral's setting was recently enhanced by the installation of a Steinway grand piano. The concerts run in a part of the city surrounded by bars and restaurants, so it's easy to make a night of it.
