Winter showcase concert by the Edinburgh Playhouse Choir at the Edinburgh Playhouse on Greenside Place.
The Edinburgh Playhouse Choir are playing the Edinburgh Playhouse on Friday 4 December, their winter showcase for the season. It's a choir night in one of the city's biggest rooms, and since it's their end-of-season concert, it's the one they've been working towards all autumn.
If you're not familiar with the venue, the Edinburgh Playhouse is Scotland's largest theatre and the UK's biggest all-seated venue, with 3,059 seats on Greenside Place at the top of Leith Walk in central Edinburgh. It's a firm part of the cultural landscape of the city and of Scotland, and one of the UK's most significant touring houses for major West End musicals. Throughout the year it also hosts headline stand-up comedy, international concerts and major one-night events, including productions during the annual Edinburgh Festival season. For a choir showcase, that's a fair bit of room to fill.

As a local, you'll know Greenside Place is easy enough to get to from the city centre, so it's a straightforward trip for a Friday night. The showcase is on 4 December, and since it's the end-of-season one, it's the main event for the choir this winter.
