A gentle and fun science club for children under 4, led by Dyna the dinosaur hatchling, at Dynamic Earth.
Dynamites Science Club is running at Dynamic Earth on selected dates between 5 September and 12 December 2026. It's a gentle and fun science club for children under four, designed as a way for the youngest ones to start discovering the world around them. The sessions are led by Dyna the dinosaur hatchling, who guides the little ones through the activities.
It's part of a wider family offering at the venue. If your kids are a bit older, there's Dynamos Science Club for four- to six-year-olds, led by Dynamo the little dinosaur, and Dino's Science Club for six- to twelve-year-olds. There's also the Monsters and Myths Trail to explore, so if you've got children of different ages, you can find something for each of them in one go.
Dynamic Earth itself is a five-star visitor experience in Edinburgh Old Town that takes you on a journey through time to see the story of planet Earth through interactive exhibits, state-of-the-art technology and a 4D encounter. It's also home to Scotland's only 360-degree full-dome film theatre, which shows a variety of films throughout the year. The venue runs a range of family and children's activities alongside its main exhibits.
