Forensic pathologist Dr Richard Shepherd returns with his thought-provoking show exploring life and death, based on his extensive career in high-profile cases.
Dr Richard Shepherd brings his tour Time of Death - More Unnatural Causes to The Queen's Hall on Sunday 25 October, with the show starting at 7:30pm. He's the UK's leading forensic pathologist, and the numbers behind that title are pretty staggering: more than 23,000 autopsies to his name, a career that's taken him inside some of the world's most high-profile cases, from the Hungerford Massacre to the 9/11 terrorist attacks. If you've got any interest in the intersection of medicine, law, and the darker side of human nature, this is exactly the kind of thing he does for a living.
He's not new to the stage, either. After acclaimed tours in 2021 and 2022, he's back with a show he describes not just as a lecture on forensic pathology, but as a deeply personal account of how a career spent in the darkest corners of humanity has shaped his view on life. It's as much about the person behind the scalpel as it is about the work itself. The critics have summed it up in a few different ways: Richard and Judy called it 'fascinating, gruesome yet engrossing', while The Observer went with 'fascinating, insightful, candid, compassionate'.
