A live band and a cast of vocalists cover country hits by Dolly Parton, Luke Combs and Kenny Rogers, performed by candlelight at The Assembly Rooms.
Country by Candlelight comes to The Assembly Rooms on Saturday 21 November, bringing a full band and a cast of vocalists to the New Town for a night of country music performed by candlelight. The set covers hits from Dolly Parton, Luke Combs, Kenny Rogers, Rascal Flatts, Shania Twain, John Denver, Darius Rucker and Chris Stapleton, so it pulls from a few different eras and styles of the genre rather than sticking to one particular corner of it.
It's a live band and a group of singers on stage, not a single act, and they're working through songs from those names. The candlelight is part of the setup, and the whole thing is billed as an experience to 'heal your Achy Breaky Heart'. The Assembly Rooms is on George Street in Edinburgh New Town and has a fully licensed bar, so you can grab a drink before the music starts.

Doors open at 6:45pm and the show starts at 7:30pm. Tickets are tiered by where you sit: VIP is £50, Premium £45, Band A £40, Band B £35 and Band C £30, with each price plus a £4.50 booking fee. There's also an Access Ticket for £45 that includes a free ticket for a registered carer.
