Stand-up show by Green Room Comedy in which five comedians imitate each other's acts in a Copycat challenge.
Copycats is at One Canon, Public Hoose on Saturday 24 October, a stand-up night put on by Green Room Comedy. The format is a bit different from your usual line-up: five comedians each do their own set, and then after the break, they each have to imitate another comedian's act — the jokes, the delivery, and the mannerisms. The twist is that they don't know who they're copying until the show begins.
It's a bit of a game for the performers as much as the audience. The best copycat of the night wins a prize and a shot at the title of Coolest Copycat, and the winners from throughout the year face off in a final showdown at the end of the year. So the whole thing is part of a longer running competition, not just a one-off night.
