A tribute to Kate Bush's music with a rock band and a fifty-piece symphony orchestra, conducted by Philip Hesketh and with vocals by Mandy Watson.
Cloudbusting bring their Kate Bush tribute to The Queen's Hall on Friday 11 June 2027, with the West London Sinfonia on strings and Mandy Watson on vocals. The show is presented by RLN Music, and the arrangements are by Rob Lane, a BAFTA and Ivor Novello award-winning composer.
It's a large-scale setup: a live rock band paired with a fifty-piece symphony orchestra, with Philip Hesketh conducting and Iwona Boesche leading the violins. The set leans on back-projection visuals to carry the songs, and the running list includes Wuthering Heights, Hounds of Love, Babooshka, This Woman's Work and Running Up That Hill.
Cloudbusting formed in 2012 and has played more than 500 shows across the UK and Europe, and they describe themselves as the longest-running and most acclaimed tribute to Kate Bush. Much of that claim comes from their ties to her original team: they're the only act to have performed her music with her original bass player and long-standing sound engineer Del Palmer, and with drummer Preston Heyman, who played on Tour Of Life, Never For Ever and The Dreaming. Stewart Avon-Arnold, Bush's co-choreographer and dance partner, also features.
