Christmas cruise hosted by the Edinburgh Cycling Club on the Middle Meadow Walk.
The Edinburgh Cycling Club is hosting its Christmas Cruise on Thursday 17 December, starting at Middle Meadow Walk. It's a seasonal ride through the city, and if you're looking for a way to get some miles in before the holidays, this is a good shout. The club is a well-known fixture in the local cycling scene, and this is one of their regular outings, just with a festive theme.
The ride is hosted by Gerry T, who'll be leading the group. If you've been before, you know the drill: a steady pace, a friendly bunch, and a route that takes in a fair bit of the city. It's not about racing or pushing yourself to the limit; it's more about getting out on two wheels with other people who enjoy it. Whether you're a regular with the club or this is your first time joining in, you'll fit right in.
Middle Meadow Walk is a convenient starting point, right in the heart of the city, so it's easy to get to. From there, the cruise winds its way through Edinburgh, with the festive season in full swing around you. It's a chance to see the city from a saddle rather than a bus or a car, and to catch up with other riders along the way. The whole thing runs from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM GMT, so it's a two-hour loop that gets you home in time for a proper evening.
