Thai cooking masterclass run by Chaophraya chefs where two people cook a starter and a main with a welcome drink each.
Chaophraya in Edinburgh is running a Thai cooking masterclass for two on Monday 26 October. It's a hands-on session led by their own chefs, who walk you through the basics of Thai cooking over about two and a half hours, including the health and safety briefing at the start. You'll work through a starter and a main, with each of you getting a welcome drink to kick things off. All the equipment and aprons are provided, so you just need to turn up.
The format is the same across five Chaophraya locations in the UK, and it's run by the restaurant itself rather than an outside company. One person who did the class in Glasgow described the chefs demonstrating spring rolls and red curry before the group cooked each course and sampled the results at a private dining table, which gives you a good sense of how it works: you watch the pros show you the technique, then you have a go at it yourself. It's a proper cooking class, not just a demo.

It's set up for two people, so it works as a date or a treat for a friend. The session is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase, which means you can book it now and pick a date that suits you later. It costs £199 for two people, and the whole thing takes around two and a half hours from the health and safety briefing to the final plate.
