A string quartet reimagines Phoebe Bridgers's songs in a candlelit concert at St Mary's Episcopal Cathedral.
St Mary's Episcopal Cathedral hosts a candlelight tribute to Phoebe Bridgers on Saturday 21 November, with a string quartet taking on her songs in the West End church. It's a tribute, not a performance by Bridgers herself, and the room is lit by thousands of flameless LED candles. The cathedral is a Victorian Gothic building designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott, known for its three spires.
The setlist is a long one, pulling from across her work. You'll hear Kyoto, Scott Street, Georgia, Funeral, Waiting Room, Graceland Too, Moon Song, Cool About It, Me & My Dog, Not Strong Enough, ICU, Chinese Satellite, Punisher, I Know The End and Motion Sickness. That's fifteen songs in one sitting, so it covers a good deal of ground.
