Let Me In Presents returns with a full band and string quartet performing the music of Kate Bush, covering her discography from The Kick Inside to Aerial.
Let Me In Presents are bringing An Evening of Kate Bush to St Mary's Episcopal Cathedral on Saturday 31 October, as part of a tour taking the show through the UK's cathedrals and minsters. It's a full-band tribute to Bush's work, with Lydia Gardiner on lead vocals and Ewan Steady as musical director. The band is rounded out by Eleanor Kinsey, Amelia Harrison, Lucia Carmignani, Colleen Curran, Alfie Woods, Bruce Higgs, Daniel Anketell and Josh Semans, and they're joined by the Mike Nowland String Quartet.
The set works chronologically through Kate Bush's discography, starting with her debut The Kick Inside and moving through Hounds of Love and Never For Ever to the 2005 comeback Aerial. Along the way, they play The Ninth Wave suite from Hounds of Love in its entirety. The well-known songs that have defined her career, like Running Up That Hill, Cloudbusting and Wuthering Heights, sit alongside rarities and hidden gems from across the records.
This is a new show for Let Me In Presents, who return after three years of sell-out productions, including An Evening of Radiohead and An Evening of Pink Floyd. The performance is suitable for all ages, though the organisers advise parental discretion because of intense lighting and sound moments, and under-16s must be accompanied by an adult.
