A string quartet performs a tribute to Olivia Dean under candlelight in the Victorian Gothic cathedral of St Mary's Episcopal Cathedral.
Candlelight: Olivia Dean comes to St Mary's Episcopal Cathedral on Saturday 5 December, a string quartet performing a tribute to the music of the award-winning singer. It's part of the Candlelight series, which brings live music into unusual locations with the performance lit by candlelight. The venue is St Mary's in Edinburgh's West End, a Victorian Gothic cathedral designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott and known for its three spires.
The set is a tribute, not a performance by Olivia Dean herself, and the tentative programme covers a good stretch of her work. You'll hear 'UFO', 'Nice To Each Other', 'Lady Lady', 'So Easy (To Fall In Love)', 'Let Alone', 'The One You Love / Baby Steps', 'It Isn't Perfect But It Might Be', 'Touching Toes', 'Carmen', 'Something Inbetween / A Couple Minutes', 'Messy Growth', 'The Hardest Part', 'Ok', 'Love You Bye / Reason To Stay', 'Echo', 'I've Seen It', 'Ladies Room' and 'Man I Need', with a medley tucked in there too. It's a tribute concert experience and isn't affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Olivia Dean, her estate or official representatives.
