Beginners Sewing Course XL

Artisan Stitch is running its Beginners Sewing Course XL from Wednesday 11 November to Wednesday 16 December, six weekly sessions at Studio 6.03A, St Margaret's House, 151 London Road, Edinburgh, EH7 6AE.

It's the XL version of the studio's signature programme, which they've refined over more than a decade of teaching thousands of complete beginners. The same teaching they use in their two-day intensive is spread here across six relaxed weekly sessions, adding two extra projects and about 50% more sewing time, more techniques, and considerably more practice. It's the course that's launched more sewing journeys than any other at the studio.

Jen, who spent years training and mentoring others before founding Artisan Stitch, has helped thousands of beginners become confident sewists over the past 12 years. The studio bills itself as Scotland's leading sewing school and has won multiple 'Best Sewing Tuition Provider' awards, holds a Certificate of Excellence, and is recommended by Queen Margaret University as excellent preparation for students applying to study Home Economics.

Every course includes access to the Artisan Stitch Learning Hub, a collection of guides, notes, video tutorials and ongoing email support. The sessions run from 6:15 pm to 8:30 pm on Wednesdays, and the cost is £215, which covers all fabrics and materials as well as access to the Learning Hub. Bookings are non-refundable.
