Two-hour autumn workshop to decorate three small pumpkins with dried flowers, with all supplies and light refreshments provided.
Ode To The Seasons are running an autumn dried flower pumpkin decorating workshop at Leith Makers on Leith Walk, with dates running between 10 October and 24 October. The session on 24 October runs from 6pm to 8pm, and it's over two hours long, so you've plenty of time to settle in.
Over the course of the evening, you'll decorate three real small pumpkins with dried flowers to take home. You don't need any experience to join in, and all the flowers and supplies are provided, along with light refreshments. The workshop is pitched as a cosy autumn escape: the idea is to switch off from screens and settle into the calming detail of the flowers, whether you come solo or bring a friend. It's strictly for ages 16 and over, and the workshop space isn't wheelchair accessible.
The setting adds its own character. Leith Makers is a vibrant arts space on Leith Walk that houses studio spaces, a retail gallery, and an exhibition and events room. It champions local makers across everything from fine art to home craft, with an emphasis on quality hand-made pieces and sustainable materials. Its gallery mixes established local artists, emerging names, and the occasional community arts project, so you're in a proper creative environment rather than a generic hall.
