London stand-up Aurie Styla brings his new show 'Maverick' to the Monkey Barrel Comedy Club, exploring work-life balance, family, relationships and health.
Aurie Styla is back at Monkey Barrel Comedy on Sunday 7 March, with his new show Maverick. It's his first Edinburgh date since his last tour, and it's a rescheduled one — the show was originally set for 27 September 2026.
Maverick follows The Aurator, the tour that took him over 100 dates, but it turns inwards. Where that one looked out, this one looks in, with Styla working through work-life balance, family, relationships and health. It's the kind of material that tends to hit closer to home — the things most of us spend our days trying to balance rather than talk about on stage.
If you're not familiar with him, Styla is a London stand-up and presenter who also owns and hosts Funny Heads. He's been on stage since he was 15 and found his feet as a presenter at 18, building his following on the university circuit as an interviewer and host. That background comes through in the way he holds a room — he's as comfortable working the crowd as he is with the scripted stuff.
