Free easy guided walk led by a Historic Environment Scotland park ranger through Hunter's Bog and St. Margaret's Loch to Arthur's Seat.
Arthur's Amble is a free guided walk around Holyrood Park on Sunday 6 December, from 13:00 to 14:30. It's one of a collection of walks run by Historic Environment Scotland, and this one is led by a park ranger.
The route takes you around Hunter's Bog and St. Margaret's Loch, with Arthur's Seat as the backdrop. The ranger talks through the hill's turbulent past, which was shaped by fire and ice, and the people who have lived and worked in the Park from 7,000 years ago up to the present day. Along the way, they'll also point out the rare wildlife that makes the site so special.

It's graded as an easy walk, so it's more of a gentle stroll than a climb. A few practical things to keep in mind: it's not suitable for children under 12, and dogs aren't permitted, with the exception of assistance dogs. The meeting point is the Broad Pavement Car Park on Queens Drive, Holyrood Park, Edinburgh EH8 8AZ. The walk is free, and it runs for an hour and a half.
