Free Hallowe'en and All Saints' Day themed guided walk led by the Historic Environment Scotland Ranger Service through Holyrood Park.
Saints and Sinners is a guided walk through Holyrood Park on Sunday 1 November, led by the Historic Environment Scotland Ranger Service. It's a Hallowe'en and All Saints' Day themed tour that follows the light and dark sides of the park's history, so the stories lean into the season. Along the way, you'll hear chilling tales of criminals, pestilence and murder, balanced against the lives of the holy men and women who have called Holyrood home through the centuries.
The route isn't a circular one, so you'll end up somewhere different from where you start. You'll pass St Anthony's Chapel, Hunter's Bog and Duddingston Low Road before the walk finishes at Duddingston Village. It's graded moderate, so it's a bit more than a stroll, and it's British Sign Language interpreted. One thing to keep in mind: it's not suitable for children under 16, which makes sense given the darker subject matter.
