Arctic Numpties play a full cover show of Arctic Monkeys' debut album to mark its 20th anniversary, in a 14+ venue.
Arctic Numpties are playing The Liquid Room on Saturday 14 November, their debut album 20th anniversary show. The whole night is built around one record: Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not, the debut album from Arctic Monkeys, which came out twenty years ago. The band's plan is to play it through in full, from start to finish, so you'll hear the whole thing in one go rather than a handful of the well-known tracks mixed in with other stuff.
If you know the record, you'll know what to expect. It's the one that put them on the map, and playing it front to back means the set follows the original sequence, just as it was released. For a debut album, it's a long one, so a full playthrough takes up a good chunk of the night. The anniversary gives it a bit of a hook, but the core of the show is just that: the record played live.

It's The Liquid Room on Victoria Street, so it's right in the thick of things in the city centre. The show starts at 7:00pm, and there's a 14+ age restriction for the night, so keep that in mind if you're bringing anyone younger. If you've got the album on your shelf or in your head, this is your chance to hear it played through from start to finish.
