Guitarist and Blur founder Graham Coxon plays The Liquid Room in Edinburgh with special guests.
Graham Coxon plays The Liquid Room on Sunday 22nd November, with the set starting at 19:00. He's touring his new album, and the night pulls from across his solo catalogue as well, so you'll hear the new material alongside songs from the records that came before it.
Most people know him as a founding member of Blur, and that's a good place to start. He was the guitarist behind the band's chart-topping run, and his taste for experimental and indie music helped shape the sound they became known for. Since then, he's built a solo career that's quite a bit broader than the Blur years: eight solo albums in total, and a fair amount of composing for film and television. The solo records range from folk-leaning songs to Krautrock-inspired albums, so the set should draw from a few different moods.
He's not just a guitarist, either. He's a singer-songwriter, a multi-instrumentalist and a visual artist, and he's often described as one of the most innovative guitarists of his generation. That versatility comes through in the solo work, which lets him step out from the Blur sound and do his own thing.

On the night, it's Graham Coxon plus special guests, so there'll be more than one act on the bill. Tickets are £41.25 for general admission standing, which includes the booking fee — the face value is £37.50 and the fee is £3.75. A couple of things to keep in mind: the show is for over-14s only, and anyone under 16 has to be accompanied by an adult over 18. The Liquid Room is at 9c Victoria Street, Edinburgh, EH12HE.
